For the past year, the RV Lifestyle Magazine Road Test Teams have enjoyed the opportunity to go “off-grid”, using portable power from two Bluetti models – the AC200L and the newer, more compact Apex 300.

For charging when you have access to a 120V power supply, fast charging from 0-80% only takes 45 minutes.
The Bluetti Apex 300 Versatile Power Station is billed as “the World’s smartest 120V/240V off-grid portable energy solution” – and after using the unit for a year, we certainly agree with that statement. The Apex 300 can be outfitted to provide 2,764Wh to 58kWh capacity, 3,840W to 11.52kW output, thanks to the second-generation automotive-grade LiFePO₄ battery, that is built to last 17 years.
Bluetti estimates that the Apex 300 can pay for itself in as little as 2 years – we have used the power stations at numerous trade shows and events, to power our booth lighting, TV displays, and computers, and this alone has saved more than the cost of the units.
The Apex 300 has plug-and-play setup with instant 0ms UPS switchover. 12kW bypass powers HVACs, EVs, and other heavy-duty loads, while the ultra-low self-consumption is claimed to be 2-3x more efficient than competitors – we are not equipped to verify this data, however our real-life usage certainly shows the excellent usage characteristics of the unit.
The Apex 300 supports up to 11.52kW generator charging at 120V/240V, as well as 120V and 240V dual voltage for whole-home backup.
In the field, we used the Bluetti SolarX 4K panel for up to 19.2kW solar charging.
