Ending
29 Years of Taking RVers on Adventures, the Wagon Masters
Describe Their Final Caravan Tours.
On
May 1, 2007 we will enter our 29th year of running caravans,
rallies and tours all across North America. When we first
started, we never thought that we would still be organizing
them after all this time.
We’ve travelled in every province of Canada, including
the Yukon, every state in the United States of America,
including Hawaii. We’ve even been to Mexico. In
fact, we have seen and done more RVing then most RVers
will do in a lifetime. This has left us with countless
happy memories, as we’ve shown thousands of RVers
some of the best wonders that North America has to offer.
We brought the first All-Canadian Caravan to Mexico for
the Mexican Piggyback Train Trip. We led the first All-Canadian
Caravan to Alaska and we were the first to do the Wild
West Caravan across the United States.
We are very proud to have shown RVers places they would
never have thought about going to, and to introduce them
to a world of adventure that they never knew existed.
We also have done our best to show RVers the fun of travelling
in a group, while meeting new people with similar interests.
2007 will be our last year as Wagon Masters and running
Wagon Trains RV Tours. We have picked just a few more
RV adventures to finish off our careers, and everyone
is welcome to come and enjoy the fun and excitement.
Music Rally
Our first adventure will be to Branson, Missouri for our
Branson Music Rally May 9 to 19. We will see 16 shows,
including The Shoji Tabuchi Show, The Mickey Gilley Show,
The Pierce Arrow Show and The Yakov Smirnoff Show. Also,
we will take the Showboat Branson Belle Dinner and Cruise,
and for a real fun time we’ll ride the ‘ducks’.
Full hookups will be provided at the beautiful Compton
Ridge Campground. This will be a great 10-day rally.
The Rally
Our second RV Adventure will be the Seventh Annual ‘The
Rally’ at the Toronto North KOA in Cookstown, Ontario
on May 31 to June 3. Opening The Rally will be ‘the
man with the voice’, Terry Chisholm. On Friday evening
we have, Willie O’Hagan, who plays the music that
you can dance the night away to. Saturday evening we have
Canada’s answer to Rock “N” Roll, Pauly
And The Greaseballs, with special guest star ‘Rock
N’ Ray Michaels’, who you can hear on CKOC
Oldies 1150 out of Hamilton, Ontario. Also, Garth Cane,
of RV lifestyle Magazine will be doing a seminar on Friday,
followed by an RV Lifestyle Magazine special event. We
are also happy to report that dinner on Saturday and breakfast
on Sunday will be catered by “Catering By Collin”
– you know the food will be great, so we hope to
see you there!
Wild West Caravan
Ending our career as Wagon Masters, we will run our #1
caravan, and the RV adventure of a lifetime, the Wild
West Caravan, September 4 to October 17. We will lead
a caravan of some 40 RVs across the United States, with
visits to Salt Lake City, Utah; Reno, Nevada; San Francisco,
Los Angeles, San Diego, California; Tijuana, Mexico; Las
Vegas, Nevada; the Grand Canyon in Arizona; Monument Valley,
Utah; and finally Gallup and Albuquerque, New Mexico.
This Caravan will include bus tours, boat tours, show
tours, lots of meals, and some of the absolute best RV
resorts the United States has to offer. We will travel
over and through the Rocky Mountains, camp right in the
Grand Canyon at Trailer Village and later move on to Monument
Valley where we will camp at the bottom of a canyon. We
will cross the Oakland Bay Bridge into San Francisco and
have Dinner in Chinatown. We will see the lights of San
Francisco when we cross over the Golden Gate Bridge and
give you time to ride the cable cars. We will gamble in
the city that has no clocks, Las Vegas, Nevada. We will
cross the Hoover Dam and take a cruise on Lake Meade.
We will camp right on the strip of Las Vegas with full
hookups. Our Caravan will stop in San Diego and while
here we will cross into Mexico for the day on our Bus
Tour. We will visit Tijuana, Rosarito Beach and Puerto
Nuevo, where we will have lunch. Our caravan will end
in Albuquerque, New Mexico were we will take in the fantastic
Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta Rally. Here we will be joined
by about 20 more RVs to attend the Balloon Fiesta Rally.
The last time we were at the Balloon Fiesta, we saw 750
hot-air balloons go up in less than two hours!
This is only a small portion of the Wild West Caravan,
and if you can’t go, we’ll be sure to tell
you all about it in a future issue.
