| One
of the things I’ve always liked most about RVing
is that it’s so deeply personal. Your RV experience
can be whatever you want it to be. If you want to
take extended trips across the continent yet still
enjoy all the comforts of home, you can find plush
fifth wheels and motorhomes with enough space and
luxurious amenities to suit every taste. If your idea
of RVing is to enjoy long-weekend trips and summer
vacations with the whole family, you can find wonderful
trailers that sleep six, eight or even more people
in perfect comfort and with enough room to accommodate
everyone’s toys. If you prefer to get away from
it all to enjoy exploring remote wilderness areas
or canoeing on quiet mountain lakes, you can find
truck campers that can take you anywhere, on-road
or off.
This wonderful diversity in RVs and RVing is nowhere
better reflected than in the thousands of incredible
campgrounds found right across Canada. Our annual
Canadian Campground Directory – included free
with this issue – provides detailed information
on great RV destinations in every province and territory
– more than 4,000 campgrounds in all. You’ll
find everything from luxurious sites in town with
telephone service and wireless high-speed internet,
to quiet, remote spots where it’s just you and
the loons. Whatever your preference, you’ll
find all sorts of great places to discover right here
at your fingertips.
Each campground listing is freshly updated for 2005.
Most of the campgrounds have a handy map reference
provided right up front, so you can quickly locate
them on a road map. To keep things simple, the letter-number
designation we use in our listings matches the grid
reference for each province’s official road
map, so you can pinpoint any campground in the country
with ease. What could be more convenient?
Our feature listings are also freshly expanded this
year. Looking for a spot that offers specific features
like pull-through sites, WiFi, or an on-site laundry?
Each listing contains all that information, and more.
Need to confirm that pets are welcome? You’ll
find that too. Many listings even include detailed
driving directions, so you can find your way in the
dark.
No matter what kind of RV experience you enjoy, I
hope you’ll find our Canadian Campground Directory
to be a handy and useful guide. Each year we receive
letters from readers with comments or suggestions,
and we appreciate your input. If you know a spot we
missed or have an idea that could make future directories
easier to use, please drop us a line. We would love
to hear from you. (Top) |
