The engineers at Damon Motor Coach certainly had their work cut out for them when the company decided to update its popular Ultrasport class A for 2004. This popular and affordable diesel pusher is well known for delivering impressive value and performance. So how do you upgrade what is already a really nice motorhome? Simple - you think in superlatives and accept that sometimes, you really can't have too much of a good thing. And that's just what the company has done. The new Ultrasport has grown bigger without becoming bloated. Ceiling height is now a full 82 inches - that's four inches more than last year's model. Taller walk-in slideouts also provide more headroom and an even greater overall sense of spaciousness. These and other subtle changes contribute to make the Ultrasport seem even bigger inside than it really is. The fit and finish continue to reflect traditional Damon quality. Enter the coach and you're immediately greeted by comfortable Flexsteel Ultraleather captain's chairs, including the driver's seat with six-way power adjustment. A premium AM/FM/CD stereo in the cockpit dash makes long drives more enjoyable, while an optional Pioneer XM satellite radio tuner lets you enjoy more than 100 digital radio stations from coast to coast, with no need to switch stations as you travel down the highway. Standard cockpit features include cruise control, an 18-inch padded steering wheel on a telescoping column with tilt, power heated mirrors, beverage holders and convenient storage nooks all around the driver and co-pilot. Overhead, a flat screen television overlooks the living area from a stylish console, positioned to provide brilliant viewing even in direct sunlight. An optional surround sound home theatre package with a digital receiver, DVD player, satellite speakers and a serious subwoofer that delivers heart-thumping bass brings movies to life, and is a worthwhile option. The standard 13,500 BTU ducted Carrier air conditioner is controlled with a wireless remote, while a second rear-mounted air conditioner is available. Plush carpeting brings warmth to the main living area, which is offered in your choice from a wide variety of decor packages and furniture options.
