The RV Lifestyle has always
been about discovery. Only a recreational vehicle allows you
the freedom to escape the beaten path and discover great new
destinations, or try your hand at great new things. It is
in this spirit of adventure and discovery that we proudly
present our annual RV Lifestyle Special Touring Issue.
What better way teach children about Canada's natural wonders
and fascinating history than by taking them on the road so
they can see it all first-hand? It's one thing to learn about
Louis Riel in a school class room, but quite another to actually
stand in the places where Riel did, and walk in his very footsteps.
In this issue, we do just that as Norm Barrett leads us on
a voyage of discovery through Riel's Saskatchewan. After all,
there's so much more to this magnificent province than the
sunny yellow canola fields that line the Trans Canada Highway.
Or pull up a seat as Jim Stoness leads us through "the
other Manitoba" from the Interlake to Flin Flon. With
more than 100,000 lakes and countless miles of rivers and
streams, Manitoba affords unlimited opportunities to enjoy
our natural world from the comfort of your RV.
If great food and great scenery are more your choice, then
you'll enjoy our extensive feature on touring the vast red
beaches and rolling green fields of Prince Edward Island,
birthplace of confederation.
Parents have long realized that RV vacations are a great
way to help children discover our natural world. In this issue,
Milena Romalis and Elisha Wagman offer great advice on how
to encourage the kids to do just that through a variety of
RV-themed arts and crafts. Besides keeping kids busy on long
drives, their ideas will provide parents with a steady supply
of wonderful original art. Who could ask for more?
So now that summer weather has finally arrived, make the
time for adventure and discover something new. We're blessed
to live in a wonderful country. Lets load up the RV and enjoy
it to the fullest. (Top)
