Welcome to our 32nd annual RV Buyer's Guide edition. If this is
your first encounter with our magazine, I would like to thank you
for including us in your RV adventures. If you have any questions
as you wind your way through the pages, please feel free to contact
us, or any of our participating advertisers - our goal is to enhance
your family's enjoyment of the RV lifestyle.
This issue provides a comprehensive guide to the various types
of recreational vehicles available in Canada, as well as the information
you will need to select and enjoy the RV of your dreams. Our staff
has had the opportunity to evaluate many of the RV's featured in
this issue, and their observations, as well as the suggestions from
RV Lifestyle readers, are the foundation for this issue.
The RV industry has created a very exciting range of RV's for 2003,
building on traditional as well as state-of-the art technology.
Interior space has been expanded in many models through the use
of slide-out sections, with quite a number of models incorporating
two or more of these concepts in their design. Materials and manufacturing
processes have been refined to provide increased durability without
adding weight or cost, giving the current RV models greater value
per dollar than ever before.
New RV technology has resulted in the creation of several "hybrid"
categories of recreational vehicles. In the motorized division,
new chassis have allowed designers to create compact vehicles that
combine the spacious interior characteristics of a class C mini-motorhome,
with the compact appeal of a class B van conversion. These "B-plus"
motorhomes are ideal for the small family, and perfect for the couple
that desires mobility without the size and cost of a class A vehicle.
In the towable trailer category, manufacturers have incorporated
some of the lightweight construction characteristics developed for
the fold-down camping trailer models, to develop a lightweight hybrid
travel trailer with extendable sleeping platforms. The result is
a compact travel trailer that is light enough to be towed by a wide
range of popular family vehicles, yet large enough to accommodate
everyone in considerable comfort.
The range of recreational vehicles is so extensive, you can literally
find the perfect RV solution for any budget. As you refine your
selection, your local RV dealer will be happy to help you find the
vehicle that's a perfect fit for you. Looking for more information?
