There's no doubt that we live in one of
the most wonderful countries in the world, where each of our four
seasons brings a renewed majesty to the natural landscape. In
spring, we glory in the beauty of the forests and gardens; in
summer we bask in the rays of the sun that are just the right
temperature; in autumn we revel in the splendour of the fall colours,
and in winterÉ well, in winter we pack the RV and do what most
Canadian RV'ers enjoy - we hit the road for our favourite sunbelt
destination!
This issue of RV Lifestyle Magazine focuses on a selection of
the most interesting RV tours south of the border. Whether you
live on the west coast, in the prairies, or in Atlantic Canada,
there are touring suggestions ideally suited to your interests
and your schedule.
This is a very interesting time of year for RV enthusiasts,
as manufacturers begin delivering the new models to dealerships
throughout the nation. We've sent our Road Test Teams to check
out some of the latest developments in RV design and technology,
and I am sure that you will find the models featured in this issue
to be especially interesting.
As we go to press with this "Snowbird" issue of RV Lifestyle
Magazine, we are in the process of developing a new method for
readers to contact manufacturers for more information on the various
products featured in each issue. We will continue with our Direct
Access Reader Response listing, featured on page 61, but there
will be an entirely new system for you to request brochures and
other information through our website www.rvlifemag.com. Please
take a few minutes and test-drive the new website information
service - I am sure you will find it to be very useful.
With RV designers concentrating on lighter, stronger, more fuel
efficient vehicles, our editorial staff set out to discover the
latest in RV accessories and appliances, with the specific goal
of pinpointing ways to save weight, while enhancing the features
of the modern RV. Tag along on their voyage through the parts
and accessory catalogues in the special report on page 49.
This issue is the culmination of our 31st year of service to
Canada's RV enthusiasts, and I would like to thank all of our
readers for making RV Lifestyle Magazine a part of your family.
We have many exciting new developments planned for the 2003 issues,
which will make this publication even more informative and entertaining.
